A second man has been jailed for his part in illegally taking crayfish, kina and paua from a protected marine reserve north of Gisborne.
The prosecution was the result of an operation between the Department of Conservation and Ministry of Fisheries.
In Gisborne District Court on Tuesday, Bec Eden Gray, 36, was sentenced to eight weeks' jail for taking fish from the reserve in May.
A second man, Dwayne Rangi Lloyd, 31, was sentenced for his part in November to six weeks' jail.
The two sentences are the longest yet handed down for fishing in a marine reserve.
