A man is in Waikato hospital after being stabbed in the face in Paeroa.
Police say it appears the knife blade passed through the roof of his mouth with the wound just below eye level.
They say his injuries are serious, but are not life-threatening.
A woman also at the address has minor injuries to her neck.
