Police investigating the theft of jewellery are seeking information on two men who remain at large.

A Sydney-based jeweller was robbed of more than $100,000 worth of gems in the Auckland suburb of Parnell in April.

Two salespeople then had $600,000 worth of jewellery stolen from outside Rydges Hotel in central Auckland.

Caesar Orlando Romero, 43, and Javier Espinosa Agreda, 26 appeared in the Auckland District Court on Friday charged with aggravated robbery and participating in an organised criminal group.

The men were remanded in custody. Three women are scheduled to appear in court on related charges.

Detective Inspector Scott Beard says police want information on the whereabouts of two other men, Juan Leal Casillas and Jose Roberto Jiminez Perez.
