An Auckland woman has been reported missing, 10 days after setting out to visit her mother in Feilding.

Diane Stevens, 51, was last seen in the Auckland suburb of Glen Innes on 25 May.

Police say she appeared stressed and was driving a green Toyota Sceptor car to visit her mother in Feilding, near Palmerston North.

But she and her pet chihuahua dog never arrived.

Police say it is out of character for Ms Stevens to not be contactable for so long.

Diane Stevens is a Maori woman of medium build, with shoulder length brown hair and tattoos on her chest and upper left arm.
