There were two separate fatal crashes in Auckland on Friday morning.
A motorcyclist was killed at about 7am when a motorbike and car collided in Penrose.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash, which occured on the corner of Rockfield road and Mount Smart road.
Earlier, a man was killed in the suburb of Maraetai about one o clock this morning.
He was the passenger in a car which crashed into a tree on Maraetai drive. Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt.
The driver was taken to Middlemore hospital with moderate injuries.
