The Cloud, on Auckland's Queens Wharf, is expected to be one of the city's hot spots throughout the tournament.

Construction of the $10 million facility is still underway but should be completed before the end of August.

Rugby World Cup minister Murray McCully on Friday unveiled two 18-metre screens expected to draw the crowds, especially on opening night.

Forty local musicians will perform at the venue which will also host a fashion parade and business expos during the Rugby World Cup.

The tournament begins on 9 September.
