The vertical bungy which has been a landmark in Wellington for the past 10 years, is closing down.
Extreme Air Adventure, which owns the bungy, has decided not to re-register it, saying Department of Labour requirments made it too difficult to operate.
The company's director Bridget Griffin, says new requirements such as having to have two people operate the bungy are unnecessary and costly.
The Department of Labour says several infrigement notices have been issued this year.
The bungy will close for good at 5pm on Tuesday.
