Some 33,027 votes have been cast for a sign to adorn a hillside near Wellington airport.
Voting closed at midnight on Friday, with the winning design to be announced on Monday morning and erected over the summer.
The three options that members of the public voted for were Wellywood, Wellington - Blown Away and Eye of the Taniwha.
A previous vote last week narrowed the options to the three designs, with the Blown Away sign a clear favourite on 46%.
