A spate of serious road accidents has occured in the North Island on Friday morning.
Emergency services are at the scene of a collision between a car and a truck, near Huntly in Waikato.
Two people have serious injuries.
Police say Rotowaro Road is closed so the Serious Crash Unit can investigate and motorists should avoid the area.
They say there have been two other truck versus car accidents on Friday - one in Northland and one in Whakatane, in Eastern Bay of Plenty.
One person was seriously injured when a quad bike and a truck collided in rural Taupo.
