Main highways closed by flooding in the Far North have re-opened.
State Highway 1 at Rangiahau Bridge between Ohaeawai and Kaitaia was closed on Thursday morning for several hours, but is now passable.
The Transport Agency says State Highway 10 through Kaeo is open following flooding earlier in the day.
The agency says driving conditions throughout the Far North remain difficult due to surface flooding.
Parts of the north have had up to 125 millimetres of rain since Wednesday.
