A Tauranga man has been charged with murder following the death of a man in the city.
Colin Bidois, 50, died in what police say were suspicious circumstances in Fourth Avenue on 6 December this year.
Mark Rangiwhaiao, 43, was previously charged with common assault in relation to the death.
The charge was replaced with murder in the Tauranga District Court on Tuesday.
The accused will reappear in court on 10 January.
