Auckland has won its 11th national rugby sevens title after pipping Otago 36-24 in a hard fought final in Queenstown on Sunday.
The player of the tournament prize went to Otago and New Zealand sevens representative Buxton Popoalii.
Auckland and Otago reached the final with wins over Waikato and Canterbury respectively.
