The search for a swimmer missing at Titahi Bay near Wellington has been suspended.
Albert Alapati, 24, was caught in a rip at Titahi Bay while swimming with relatives on Saturday.
Police say extensive water and shoreline searches have not found any sign of Mr Alapati and they are confident he is not in the Titahi Bay basin.
Boaties and kayakers are being asked to keep an eye out for any sign him, from Wellington's south coast to the Otaki area.
