Thirteen people are facing drink driving charges following a breath testing blitz in Nelson and Motueka.
The police say almost 10,000 vehicles were stopped at checkpoints over three nights.
During the blitz, five disqualified drivers were caught, 15 people had their licences suspended, 40 vehicles were ordered off the road and more than 300 infringement notices were issued.
Four people were also arrested for other offences, including domestic assault.
