Police in Waihi are investigating the theft of food from a funeral venue.
The War Memorial Hall there was broken into on Monday night and food prepared for a funeral taken.
Senior Sergeant Rex Night says Waihi is shocked by the crime.
He says that reaction helped lead to the arrest of a man for receiving. Another man has been found and charged with burglary.
Two boys were also identified and referred to Youth Aid.
