Police in Auckland will keep an eye on a motorcycle ride on Saturday by an an estimated 200 members of a breakaway Hells Angels gang.
The Hells Angels Nomads chapter event, Ride with the Angels, will take place on Saturday at Northcote with participants riding through Helensville to Puhoi.
The gang is encouraging outsiders to take part.
Superintendent John Kelly says police cars and on motorbikes will be monitoring to make sure it is safe and the public are not disrupted.
Although they acknowledge gangs are associated with illegal activities, Superintendent Kelly says the police do not expect any violence or disorder.
