Searchers have found the body of a man in a Bay of Islands river.
It has yet to be formally identified, but the police think it might be a Kawakawa man, Kerry Michael Witt, who has been missing since last week's floods.
The body of his partner, Lavona Cherrington, was found in the Waikere creek on Wednesday.
It is believed the couple were swept away while trying to reach their home on Waikare Valley Road.
