The first trial of Auckland's long-awaited electronic public transport ticket has been postponed.
The HOP system will allow Aucklanders to use all forms of public transport with a single payment card, making some journeys simpler and cheaper.
A trial involving 100 people using the HOP payment cards should have started this month, but won't now begin until April.
Auckland Transport says technical issues are still being sorted out but it is confident of launching the system before the end of the year, as planned.
