A Wellington taxi driver who was jailed for twice raping a young female passenger has been granted a retrial.
Abdirazak Mussa, 55, was found guilty of rape and abduction in October last year following a trial in the Wellington District Court.
He was sentenced to 11 years in prison.
However, in a judgment issued on Friday, the Court of Appeal granted a retrial.
The case will go back to the district court for a hearing date to be set.
