Nurses accept pay deal

9:02 pm on 2 March 2012

Members of the New Zealand Nurses Organisation have voted to accept a new collective employment agreement.

The new agreement covers 23,000 nurses, midwives and health care assistants working in public hospitals.

Workers covered by it will get a 4.5% pay increase over the next 3 years.

The Nurses Organisation says the new agreement will give its members some certainty and security.
