Handicrafts from the island of Niuafo'ou are being offered at a two-day Trade Fair in the Tongan capital, Nuku'alofa.
The Matangi Tonga website reports that the Funga Vai Lahi Niua Trade Fair opened yesterday.
Over a third of the finely woven waist mats and kiekies were immediately sold.
The trade fair has been put on with funding from the New Zealand High Commission, which allowed the artists to travel to the capital.
