Fiji's Mai TV launches streamed programmes

5:07 pm on 11 January 2011

A private broadcaster in Fiji, Mai TV, has launched a 24-hour live stream of programmes aimed at Fiji people living overseas.

Its chief executive officer, Richard Broadbridge, says the service is the first of its kind in the South Pacific.

He says all viewers need to do is to register on Mai TV's website.

Mr Broadbridge says research shows that many Fijians living overseas will do anything to see Fiji.
