The Government has launched a website to provide information about its plans to partially privatise four state-owned energy companies.

Under the proposal the Government intends selling up to 49% stakes in Meridian Energy, Genesis Energy, Mighty River Power and Solid Energy, as well as sell shares in Air New Zealand.

State-Owned Enterprises Minister Tony Ryall says the website tells people what the mixed ownership model means, why the Government is selling shares and how a public share offer works.
