Collins refusing to discuss legal action

12:34 pm on 8 May 2012

Justice Minister Judith Collins still refuses to discuss the details of her legal action against two Labour Party MPs and Radio New Zealand.

Ms Collins claims she was defamed by the MPs Andrew Little and Trevor Mallard on Radio New Zealand in comments about who leaked details of the ACC claimant Bronwyn Pullar to the media.

The minister's lawyers wrote last week to the two MPs to say they have been instructed to begin legal proceedings.

However, Radio New Zealand says it has had no further contact from the Minister or her lawyers.

Ms Collins says it is not appropriate for her to comment on the legal proceedings at this stage.
