Banks right man to turn things around for ACT

11:34 am on 25 February 2013

ACT leader John Banks says he is the right man to turn things around for the party.

ACT is trying to revive its support by targetting the Resource Management Act.

It wants to remove land development restrictions, but Labour and the Green Party say that won't fix the problem.

The latest political poll has support for ACT sliding from 0.2% to 0.1%.

When asked on Morning Report about his dealings with Kim Dotcom, Mr Banks said he's had his ups and downs which happens in politics if you're going to achieve anything, and now's the time to look to the future - not the past.

He said he's been around politics for 35 years and has held public office and been elected 12 times so will take his chances.
