Labour mystified at no inquiry into Solid Energy

Labour says it is mystified as to why the Auditor-General has decided not to inquire into the failings of the debt-ridden State enterprise, Solid Energy.

Lyn Provost has decided against investigating the management, governance, and oversight of the company, because it is already subject to a significant amount of review, scrutiny, and change.

Labour State-owned enterprises spokesperson, Clayton Cosgrove, said he doesn't know of any other reviews of Solid Energy taking place.

He said if there continues to be a lack of public accountability, Labour will raise the matter again with the Auditor General.
