A wool industry task force appointed by Agriculture Minister David Carter still aims to get a progress report to him by the end of the year.
The task force was established in October: its eight members have the job of coming up with a strategy to lift the returns for New Zealand wool, which has lost $2 billion in its export value since 1995.
Chair Jeff Grant says it's taking a big picture approach - confronting issues that have arisen over four decades in the struggling and divided industry.
