The new Member for Ikaroa-Rawhiti MP, Meka Whaitiri, will be sworn in as an MP on Tuesday afternoon.
She won the seat in a by-election in June with a majority of 1659 votes.
The seat was left vacant by the death of Labour MP Parekura Horomia in April.
Ms Whaitiri's maiden speech to Parliament will be made on 6 August.
