Green MP plummets down list

3:17 pm on 17 March 2014

Green Party MP Steffan Browning has been allocated a lower place on the party's draft list for this year's election.

Mr Browning was number 10 at the last election but this time he's number 16 - and the Greens will have to win a bigger share of the vote if he's to remain in Parliament.

James Shaw and Marama Davidson, neither of them MPs, have been placed at 10 and 15 respectively.

Party co-leaders Metiria Turei and Russel Norman take the two top spots.

Green Party members will vote on the rankings, and the final list will be announced by the end of May.
