There is confusion over when Muhammad Rizalman bin Ismail will be sent back following reports he has been in a military hospital for several days with symptoms of depression.
Mr Key on Tuesday he has no reason to think the Malaysian government is playing games, and its foreign minister would never have agreed to return Mr Rizalman if he hadn't meant it.
