Poll shows fall in National support

The latest political poll shows a drop in support for National, but an increase in support for John Key.

The One News Colmar Brunton poll was taken after the release of the book Dirty Politics, but before Judith Collins' resignation.

It shows National down two points to 48 percent, Labour up two points to 28 percent and the Greens up one point to 12 percent.

New Zealand First is on 6 percent and the Conservatives are up one to 3 percent, while Internet Mana is down two to 2 percent.

Support for Mr Key as preferred prime minister has risen two points to 47 percent, while David Cunliffe sits on 12 percent.

The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percent.
