Mr Peters was in the lower North Island today visiting Feilding, Marton and Whanganui pushing for the party vote.

Radio New Zealand's poll of polls, an average of the last four surveys, puts New Zealand First at 6.2 percent.

Mr Peters said people from rural areas remember when politicians visit their regions. He said small communities do matter and he wants to let them know that one party hasn't forgotten them.

Mr Peters will visit Levin and Palmerston North tomorrow before going to Invercargill on Sunday.
