There's nothing quite like the hairy burly of Parliament.
Our representatives haven't been back a week and already the fighting talk is coming out.
Labour MP Chris Hipkins, who likes to lampoon other members in his 'Whipping Post' newsletter, today had a crack at National's Nathan Guy for apparently waxing.
"We don't want to miss out on all the follicular fun. So let's point out Nathan Guy's formerly hirsute hands have undergone something of a transformation. Perhaps another round of questions from Mr Peters?"
Mr Guy, however, was up to the task, returning a couple of very hairy fists back via Twitter.
Despite malicious rumours from @chrishipkins I can confirm I do not wax my hands or arms. #focusingonthebigissues pic.twitter.com/57GSy2JKGI

And then the other wags on Twitter also joined in:
@NathanGuyOtaki @ChrisBramwell @chrishipkins Hmmm ... the strength of parliamentary debate does tend to wax and wane.

Mr Hipkins, confronted with the ugly truth, then conceded defeat.
@NathanGuyOtaki Good to see you have a sense of humour :) I withdraw and apologise...
