The Minister of Labour has denied acting as a lawyer for the Exclusive Brethren church, but not for its members.
Kate Wilkinson made a personal explanation to Parliament after Labour Party MP Trevor Mallard taunted her about her relationship with the Exclusive Brethren.
Ms Wilkinson told Parliament she was a solicitor for 25 years before becoming an MP.
She says in that time she represented many people, including members of religious groups.
However, she says she has not acted for the Exclusive Brethren church.
