Treaty Negotiations Minister Chris Finlayson is confident the Government's target of having Treaty of Waitangi claims completed by 2014 will be achieved.
Mr Finlayson is to discuss how the settlements process can be sped up at a hui with iwi leaders on Wednesday.
While acknowledging the target is optimistic, he told Waatea News that talks with claimants around the country over the past three months lead him to believe it is achievable.
Mr Finlayson says the Government is committed to the Treaty process and more resources will be provided if they are required.
