Two new bills have been pulled from the members ballot, one giving bereavement leave after a miscarriage, and the other requiring the publication of viewership figures for government funded media projects.

Labour MP Virginia Andersen is promoting the first bill, which would give a woman and her partner up to three days' bereavement leave after an "unplanned death of a foetus".

That leave is in line with what people can take under the existing law for immediate family members.

The second bill is in the name of the National MP, Melissa Lee, relating to New Zealand on Air and Te Māngai Pāho.

It would require them both to publish quarterly reports showing viewership figures for every project they fund.
