Police are yet to decide whether to charge former Labour MP Darren Hughes, three months after accusations were made against him by an 18-year-old male.
A police spokesperson says the investigation is still underway and they will comment further when they are ready to.
The complaint relates to an incident that's alleged to have occurred in a Wellington suburb early on Wednesday, 2 March.
Mr Hughes says he has done nothing wrong and is co-operating fully with the police.
He resigned from Parliament in late March, to defend the charges, saying his position as senior party whip and education spokesperson had become untenable.
