The Fire Service is attending a large fire at an office building in central Wellington.
The fire is on the 4th floor of the iSOFT building on Customhouse Quay and eight trucks are at the scene.
Customhouse Quay between Hunter Street and Lambton Quay has been closed.
Meanwhile, in the central North Island four fire trucks are trying to put out a fire at a cafe at the top of Turoa ski field on Mount Ruapehu.
However, the Fire Service says it is still working out how to tackle the fire as the only way to get to it is by a chairlift.
