A man has been charged in relation to a hit-and-run on a Hawke's Bay police officer last week.
Robbie Richards, 28, was due to appear in the Napier District Court today charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Police alleged he was the driver of a car that hit an officer at a drink-driving checkpoint in Clive last week.
The officer received injuries to his leg, face and arms.
