Police have named the couple as Chilyoung Kim and Young-Mo Sang, both aged 59, from Seoul in Korea.

Their rental car crashed off the single lane bridge on Tuesday and was recovered yesterday with the bodies of the couple still inside.

Police said the couple had been in New Zealand for two days before the crash.

Family members arrived in New Zealand today and have completed the formal identification.
