Police in Nelson are investigating after shots were fired at a Motueka house last night.

Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Johnston said two shots, believed to be from a shotgun, were fired from a vehicle at the Woodlands Avenue house about 11pm. They smashed windows at the front of the house.
The vehicle was described as a dark-coloured four wheel drive.
Charges would be laid when those responsible were found, Mr Johnston said.
