A body found at the wharf in Timaru has been confirmed as a man who had been missing in the area since Sunday.
The body was recovered shortly before 9am this morning, and has now been formally identified as 76-year-old Donald Alexander MacLeod.
Police had been searching for Mr MacLeod, who was last seen leaving his home on Sunday morning. They said his white van was found at the wharf.
The death has been referred to the coroner.
