Police in Hawke's Bay have named the Scottish man who died in a car crash east of Hastings on Friday.
Richard Webster Harbinson, 68, died after driving across the centre line while turning, clipping an oncoming vehicle and crashing into a tree.
Mr Harbinson and his wife were in New Zealand visiting their daughter in Havelock North.
Both his wife and daughter were in the car at the time and were being treated for serious injuries at Hawke's Bay Regional Hospital.
