Two people have died in a fire in an elderly couple's house in Tolaga Bay, the Fire Service has confirmed.
The house in the East Coast settlement was 90 percent destroyed by fire in the early hours of the morning, police and fire crews say.
Police had said there had been no sign of the elderly couple who lived there.
Neighbours told emergency services the elderly couple were last seen mowing their lawns and tending to their garden in the early evening last night.
Once they could enter the house, firefighters searched the debris and discovered the remains.
Assistant area fire commander Peter Clarke told Summer Report this morning there had so far been no success in contacting the couple's family in Australia.
