A 22-year-old man was airlifted to Waikato Hospital after he fell through a roof last night in the Central North Island town of Taumarunui.
A rescue helicopter spokesperson said the man fell onto concrete and was critically ill.
The helicopter was dispatched to the town with a paramedic and doctor on board to treat the man before they made the decision to take him to the hospital's emergency department.
