Police want to hear from partygoers at a house which was badly damaged in a house fire in the Christchurch suburb of Edgeware early this morning.
The fire at the house in Champion Street, was reported just before 1am.
Firefighters were initially concerned people were trapped inside but said those concerns proved to be unfounded and no one was hurt in the blaze.
Police said it was too early in their investigation to establish how the fire started.
But they want to hear from anyone who was at the party around the time the fire broke out, or from people living in the vicinity.
