The police have lifted the cordon they had around the Dunedin suburb of Mornington.
Areas around Neidpath Road and Cochrane Street were cordoned off and the Armed Offenders Squad called this afternoon, after reports up to five people were fighting with golf clubs.
Earlier reports suggested a firearm was seen during the incident but the police said the callout was related to a domestic incident and don't believe a firearm was involved.
They are speaking with several people in relation to the incident.
