Dunedin police want to talk to three men following a stabbing in the suburb of Tainui early this morning.
They said the 32-year-old victim was confronted and stabbed outside his house in Crest Street.
He was taken to Dunedin Hospital and was operated on today. His injuries are not considered life threatening.
Police said the three men they were looking for were driving a dark coloured car, possibly a Toyota Sedan, that was in bad condition.
One of the men has a shaved head, a missing tooth and tattoos on his arms.
The trio were seen drinking at the Leviathan Hotel carpark in the city earlier in the evening.
