A woman who was stabbed in Upper Hutt yesterday has died in hospital.
Police said the woman underwent an operation yesterday but died as a result of her injuries.
A 42-year-old Hutt Valley man has already been charged in relation to the attack on the woman and on a man.
He appeared in the Hutt Valley District Court today charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Police now said he was likely to face further charges.
The second victim, a man, received a serious wound to his arm.
