The police say no arrests have been made yet in the case of a fatal hit and run in West Auckland.
A cyclist, in his 50s, was hit by a car leaving the Pak n Save Supermarket in Henderson just before 10 o'clock last night.
The police said the car pushed the rider into the back of a parked car, then left without stopping.
Emergency workers tried to revive the man but he died at the scene.
The police found the car and the driver last night, but the investigation is continuing and no one has been arrested in connection with the death.
